Privacy.

If you subscribe to the newsletter, I store your email address with Resend, the service that sends the emails. That's the only personal data this site collects. No selling or sharing your address with anyone.

For audience measurement I use PostHog, hosted in the EU, in cookieless mode: no cookies, nothing stored on your device, no identity tracked across visits. It tells me which pages get read and which video sent you here, not who you are.

You only get emails after clicking the confirmation link (double opt-in). That click is the legal basis for everything here: your consent (GDPR art. 6(1)(a)), which you can withdraw at any time. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link; one click and you're out, your address is flagged and never emailed again. You can also just reply to any email or write to will@willgyt.com and I'll delete your data entirely.

How long I keep it: until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion. Addresses that have been inactive for three years get deleted anyway.

Where it lives: Resend processes data in the United States. That transfer is covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, which Resend is certified under, plus the EU's Standard Contractual Clauses in their data processing agreement.

Your rights under the GDPR: access, rectification, erasure, portability, objection, and withdrawing consent — email will@willgyt.com and it's handled. If you think I've mishandled your data, you can complain to the French supervisory authority, the CNIL.

Data controller: William Goyet. Questions about any of this go to the same address. Publisher details are on the legal notice page.
